Iceveil Valley
Snow biome · levels 90–115 · End game
The snow biome and the main quest hub for the upper levels. The cold drains your health, so carry the Emberheart Lantern and recharge its Cold Immunity at campfires. Iceveil Settlement, the snow village by the purple spawn crystal, holds the Supply the Settlement quest and a winter shop — and both the Sound and Wind trainers stand out on the water.
How to get to Iceveil Valley
Take the snowy route out of the bear area; Old Trapper Retsu stands at its second gate. Unlock the shrine to fast-travel back.

Breathing trainers here
- Sound Breathing — trainer Tengai. On top of the small rock island in the lake north of the shrine
- Wind Breathing — trainer Saneri. On a platform in the water — follow the fallen tree from the shrine
Every style unlocks at level 25 on the slayer path; the Wen and materials differ by style.
Bosses at Iceveil Valley
- Tengen — In the snowy village through the gates, a short walk from Frost Veil Shrine
- Doma — Past Tengen: cross the red bridge, pass under the torii gates into the open courtyard. One guide reports night-only spawns; the others do not mention a cycle
- Yeti — In a cave on the route near Butterfly Estate — not a standing spawn, summon it with a Frozen Heart
Iceveil Valley FAQ
How do I survive the cold?
The Emberheart Lantern — reported to drop from the Yeti at around 25% — charged at campfires gives temporary Cold Immunity (10 seconds per tick, 10-minute cap). The Doma clan grants permanent immunity.
Which trainers are here?
Sound (Tengai) on the lake rock island and Wind (Saneri) on the water platform — both past the shrine.
How do I summon the Yeti?
Use a Frozen Heart, which comes from higher-tier overworld chests or the Black Market (reported 10,000 Wen).
Which NPCs are at Iceveil Valley?
Iceveil Guard Shiro (Supply the Settlement quest — opens the winter shop); Old Trapper Retsu (Second gate on the snowy route; directions to the lantern cave at night for 2,500 Wen); Wounded Slayer Tomoi (Slayer quests, levels 90–105); Demon Slayer Mitsu (Frost and burning demon quests, levels 105 and 115); Harvester of Souls Zurinyz (Reaper fighting style for demons, level 100).
Is Iceveil Valley worth farming?
Mostly for the trainer: Sound Breathing (Tengai) and Wind Breathing (Saneri) unlock here. Otherwise the value is the mob level band (90–115) and the boss drops.
What level should I be before coming to Iceveil Valley?
Iceveil Valley is built for levels 90–115. Below that range, kills are slow and deaths are frequent; well above it, the mobs stop paying useful experience. The one exception: material farming and boss hunts are level-agnostic reasons to visit — the Beast Cores at Mistfall Harbor and the Demon Horns under the Bear Area stay relevant long after their mobs stop paying EXP.
How does Iceveil Valley connect to the rest of the map?
Take the snowy route out of the bear area; Old Trapper Retsu stands at its second gate. Unlock the shrine to fast-travel back. Fast travel shrines and a horse (reported 15,000 Wen each) cut the repeat trips — see the leveling guide's travel section for the full loop.
Where to go after Iceveil Valley
Endgame: Crow/Muzan quest loop (125+)
Farming and levelling at Iceveil Valley
Iceveil Valley carries 3 reported boss spawns, which makes it part of the standard boss farming loop. The area is built for levels 90–115: arriving under that range means slower kills and more deaths, arriving well over it means the mobs no longer pay useful experience. Match your time here to the quest markers — every named NPC with a quest line is listed above.
How Iceveil Valley fits the world route
Iceveil Valley is the endgame's front door: the level 90-115 quest hub, both the Sound and Wind trainers, and three boss spawns including the summonable Yeti. Everything here runs on cold protection — the Emberheart Lantern charged at campfires, or the Doma clan's permanent immunity. Old Trapper Retsu's paid directions to the lantern cave (2,500 Wen) are the documented shortcut.
Quest chains and economy at Iceveil Valley
The NPC roster is the reason to detour here: Iceveil Guard Shiro (supply the settlement quest — opens the winter shop), Old Trapper Retsu (second gate on the snowy route; directions to the lantern cave at night for 2,500 wen), Wounded Slayer Tomoi (slayer quests, levels 90–105), Demon Slayer Mitsu (frost and burning demon quests, levels 105 and 115), and 1 more. Every named NPC marks a quest, a shop or a material source — talking to each one on your first visit is the cheapest way to unlock the services you will need later, because quest handoffs gate content in Slayers 2 more often than levels do. Boss farming note: Tengen, Doma, Yeti — chain them in one lap rather than making dedicated trips.
